* High School (National Federation) Softball Rules will apply.
* Home Team supplies Umpire(s)
& 2-12'' Optic Yellow Softballs for each game.
* Seventh Grade teams play 10
defensive players (10th defensive player must play the outfield.
* Eight Grade teams play 9 defensive
players.
* Line-ups- You will bat the
least amount of players that one team has at game time. Example: Team
1 has 11 players and Team 2 has 13 players: In this case each team
will have 11 players in their line up and Team 2 will have two substitutions
to enter the game.
* All players must play 6-outs
and have one (1) bat appearance per game.
* Teams may begin or continue
a game with eight eligible players without penalty.
* When the vacant spot in the
batting order (#9) comes up it is skipped without penalty.
* If a team only has seven players
eligible, they must start or continue play with a penalty, an out
for the vacant spot (#8) slot in the batting order.
* Teams that cannot field seven
eligible players (6 or less) anytime during a game will forfeit the
contest.
* Teams may move down only three
(3) eight graders to play on a seventh grade team.
* If a team moves four (4) or
more 8th graders then that team is consider an 8th grade team.
* When 8th graders move down
to play 7th grade they cannot pitch or catch.
*Legal Bats will have ASA 2000-2007
certification stamp.
*Face Masks on batting helmets
are mandatory.
* Courtesy Runner- For Pitcher
and Catcher Only. Last out if your team has no substitutions or a
sub off the bench.
* All games will be seven (7)
innings in length with an one (1) hour and (30) minute time limit.
* Coaches can agree before the
game to modify game times, intermissions and/or length of games.
* Weekday games will start at
6:00 pm.
* Weekend (Double Headers) games
will begin at 2:30 pm.
* First game of the doubleheader
will is followed by a 30 minute intermission.
* INNING ENDING - Maximum of six (6) runs scored per each half-inning
until the end of the fifth inning. After the fifth inning, only the
game-ending run rule will be observed.
* GAME ENDING - (10 after 5)
- A game may end anytime after 5 innings, when a team is 10 or more
runs behind and has completed it's turn at bat. (4 ½ innings
if the home team is ahead)
* With any and all disciplinary action the Head Coach must notify
the opposing Coach before the game starts.
* Injured or sick players will
not be permitted to re-enter the game.
* Due to liability, injured
or sick players must be cleared to play by a Physician for the next
scheduled contest.
* At least one HS Licensed Umpire on the field at all times.
* ASA, NSA, USSSA or former
HS umpires are permitted.
* Home team schedules and pays
for umpires, or schedule home team.
